2. What Information We Collect

When a person submits a quote request through a LeadCloser AI-powered form or chat widget, we collect: name, phone number, email address (if provided), the service they are requesting, and any other details they choose to provide in the free-text message field. This information is submitted voluntarily by the person making the enquiry.

3. Why We Collect It

The information collected is used solely for the purpose of lead qualification and booking. Specifically: to allow the AI assistant to respond to the enquiry in a helpful and personalised way, to allow the business that operates the widget to follow up with the customer, and to record the conversation history for the business's reference.

4. Who Can See Your Information

The personal information you submit is visible only to the business you contacted — the local service business that operates the LeadCloser AI widget you interacted with. LeadCloser AI acts as a data processor on behalf of that business. We do not sell, share, or disclose your information to any other third parties, except as required by law. Our infrastructure partners (Supabase for database hosting, Anthropic for AI processing, and Resend for email delivery) may process your data as part of service delivery, subject to their own privacy policies.

5. How Long We Keep It

Lead information and conversation history are retained for as long as the business account remains active. If a business account is deleted or terminated, associated lead data is removed within 30 days. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at the email address below.

6. Your Rights Under the Privacy Act 2020

Under the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand), you have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you, request correction of personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete, and request that your personal information be deleted. 7. Cookies and Analytics

LeadCloser AI does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on its lead capture widgets. Basic server logs may be retained for security and debugging purposes.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. All data is stored in encrypted databases with access controls. Connections to our platform are secured via HTTPS.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered business users of significant changes via email. The most current version will always be available at this URL.
